I blocked a LVM months ago, but still can’t forgive myself for stooping so low and letting someone treat me like an option. I was never like that before.

We all make mistakes, don't be so harsh on yourself and don't forget we live in a pickme society! The same thing happened to me last year...I cried for a week after blocking him...not because I lost him but because i felt I betrayed myself like I never did before (and I'm not talking about abuse but going dutch, enduring his stupid sense of humor...) Then I stumbled on fds. So the LVM led me here :)

I blocked my ex but I still miss the idea of what could have been (if he cared, if he acted differently, if he was a different person). I have to keep reminding myself I’m actually missing a fantasy that never existed. Each of these breakup posts helps strengthen my resolve and remind me of the correct path forward.

I think it refers to those situations where you quit answering his texts/calls, and then 2 days/a week/a month later he reaches out. A pickme interprets that as "he misses me! he's reaching out!" whereas a HVW recognizes it for the lazy attitude it actually represents, which is "I'm reaching out to you because I'm bored and/or the woman I was trying to get with instead of you rejected me."
