Unrelated but a lot of the older women at my job kiss everyone on the lips as friends and I think it's so weird. The men have tried to do it to me before bc they think it's standard. Shut that down.

I commented on that one because there was a extremely similar post 2 months ago with a female OP who kissed her platonic friend on the lips in front of her bf because that's her actual cultural customs and she hadn't seen her friend in years. She was called a huge asshole, a cheater, stupid, unfaithful, etc.

Yet this thread with a man OP everyone's like "waah dont make men feel bad for being affectionate with eachother", sure, but shame women.

I'm sure the gf is uncomfortable, because if he does this with his guy friends he might do it with his female friends too. If it's just platonic, why would gender make a difference right? I understand that men showing affection in their "bro" circle is stigmatized. And I think it isn't unhealthy to kiss your friends, sure it's weird to me cause I don't do that but it's nothing creepy, sexual or anything. But I can't help it, imagining your boyfriend kissing other people, regardless of gender, might make me uncomfortable, too. So weird to me that a simple "This makes me uncomfortable" causes great distress to men, because it appears as a minor inconvenience to think about how your partner feels.

Umm. A lot of people get the flu and more than half of the human population has HSV-1. To get these diseases is to be human.
