I'm willing to bet a significant portion of what you're seeing is actually fake. It's set up by the woman to make it look like he's amazing and loves her. Women do that all the time on social media.
But also OLD is a trash heap for mostly LVM to be lazy and try to find a victim.

You can’t tell whether someone is a HVM via social media. A photo tells you literally nothing about their character, consistency, loyalty, contribution, or integrity. Believe me when I tell you there are men who look amazing on social media who are manipulative lying LVMs in relationships. Don’t be fooled by appearances.
That said, the HVM I know personally don’t use dating apps. They are overrun with LVMs, abusers, users, narcs, and losers. HVM do exist, but if I had to guess, I’d say 80+% of them are not scouring dating apps for a partner for the same reason many HVW don’t do dating apps.

On Instagram everybody shows what they want to. but it's not the reality. I keep telling myself that even on Instagram good and reliable men are not so HVM that they try to appear. They may offer gifts to their girls and still abuse/beat/disrespect them... we don't know how it's going behind.

All media is a distillation of the more interesting parts of life - bad or good.
No one wants to see the second night in a row of a couple watching Friends. No one would click that. We want to see the best, not the average.

Actually I've seen a lot of LVM on social media. Going through comments on a random Instagram chicks post. I'll see numerous comments from married men! It's pretty gross and I bet they do it behind their wives backs🤢

Instagram is a highlight reel... no one is going to post the bad times.Yeah, they may post a pic of some over the top display from their man, but who knows what happened before or after that picture was taken. They could’ve literally gotten into a fistfight right after the camera flashed. A lot of women are super competitive and like to post pictures to make it seem like they’re winning with men, when in reality they’re getting dragged. I know plenty of women who put on a show for social media but in real life their man is entertaining several other women.

OLD is also the laziest and most low effort way to date. They can sign up all from their couch in their underwear. Literally all they have to do is swipe, so naturally every last lazy man with fingers and a phone is going to use it. On top of that, many of them don't delete their profile bc they're looking for a lot of easy sex, so the "dating" pool is overloaded with low effort men who stay on the apps indefinitely. Anyone using OLD has to be prepared to swipe A LOT because it will be teeming with LVM/NVM by design.
Meeting people in person at an interesting class or interesting social event is probably the way to go. These men will have had to sign up, and it indicates they have hobbies and the ambition to afford and pursue them, plus these men also do things that you're also interested in. At the very least you'll meet other interesting people.
With social media, I honestly believe nothing people post. I have a close friend whose boyfriend I know for a fact is emotionally dismissive and undermining. She posts cute pictures because she really does love him, but the point is only people who have poor boundaries post the real ugly parts of their lives. We wouldn't follow their accounts if they posted shit-stained underwear left on the floors with a multiparagraph rant on how much they become frustrated with their partners. 🤷♀️
