Hello ladies, I replied to a comment on here recently with a list of books I thought were relevant to the topic of rebuilding one's self-esteem and breaking through the straight garbage that is pushed down the throat of the average woman. I tried to stick to ones that are somewhat relevant; if I added ones that aren't the list would go on for a while... If I think of more I'll add them in.

I want to know what you girls are reading!

Here's my list:

Intimate Relationships: lots of statistics on what makes relationships work and what doesn't, in a readable format. Quite a few solid anti-trp points too. It's a textbook- well written, but dense in material. Heads up.

The Sexual Healing Journey: for survivors of sexual abuse.

The Good Girl's Guide to Bad Girl Sex: how to be a sexual person for yourself, on your terms, as an adult. Socialized female inhibition just cuts you off from your own body and life.

The Gendered Brain: a breakdown of the gender bias in neuroscience.

Bullshit Jobs: I'm trying to figure out how to live to work, not work to live. If y'all have more suggestions in this theme I am here for it.

The Bullet Journal Method: it's a great way to organize.

How to Become a Straight-A Student: good stuff.

Why We Sleep: get some zzz's, sis.

Applying Psychology To Everyday Life: what it says on the tin tbh.

Mind Over Mood: a DIY guide to cognitive behavioural therapy, which isn't per se the best kind of therapy but decent to fish out pointers.

EDIT: The girls in the chat just suggested

The Defining Decade: Why Your Twenties Matter- And How to Make the Most of Them

and I'm loving it so far!
