I’m 26 now but was a virgin when I was over 21. Honestly just follow the handbook and wait to sleep with a man until he has been properly vetted. Just because someone is willing to make the experience comfortable for you doesn’t make them great. That’s the bare minimum

I’m 24 and still a virgin. At the moment, I’m waiting until marriage or at least until some form of a big commitment (ie engagement). But I echo the other commenter’s post. Wait until you feel ready and know there is a strong emotional and physical connection between you and whoever you choose.

As someone who slept with a guy she barely knew just to “get it over with” at 27....don’t do it. I’m 30 now and honestly while it wasn’t necessarily a mistake, it just wasn’t good. I barely remember it and it was very awkward. I cringe a little bit when I think back at me texting him “wanna hook up?”. Omg what was I thinking! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Wait until you vet the man properly and there is a strong emotional and physical connection. There really is no rush.

I lost mine at 19 and it’s the only sexual encounter that I regret. I didn’t want to be an “old virgin” so I did it just to do it. Just wait til it feels right and you are sure it’s what you want. Had I waited, I would have been 24 when I lost it and would have been much happier doing that then the way I did

I think it’s good to dig deep as to why you feel like you want it and why you don’t. I personally feel like this conflict you’re facing is stemming from a slight deficiency of self-awareness, which just leads to you feeling confused. I don’t think you should feel like you’re missing out but I understand why those feelings would arise ❤️ wait if YOU want to! There is really no rush.

Lose it when you’re ready. I never placed any value on being a virgin or waiting for marriage, so I just lost it to whoever because I don’t connect through sex. If you want it to be special then wait for that special someone who treats you right. Leave the hoeing shit to the hoes.

The first time with ANYONE is what you should be concerned with, and odds are it will be more awkward (esp. for the woman) than not.

I would say age doesn't matter in this case - it doesn't matter how old you are, if you're not ready to have sex, then don't. 18 (or whatever the age of consent is where you live), 25, 35, whatever. The fact that you've had opportunities but haven't done it I think shows that you're not ready yet and that's absolutely ok. Wait until you're absolutely ready.
