A guy may say he's sorry, but remember that he still did what he did. Him saying sorry does not change the underlying thought process that he used to decide to do something disrespectful to you.

some of them aren’t even sorry after they get caught... listen carefully to apologies and don’t accept any:

“I’m sorry if you were upset”

“Fine, I’m sorry, is that what you needed to hear?”

“I’m a huge piece of shit, I don’t know how you put up with me. I don’t deserve you.”

Because what they really mean is

“I’m only as sorry as I need to be.”

“you can either say the apology wasn’t needed, or you can accept it and we forget this happened.”

and my favorite, “Stuff your own feelings and please baby me, I’m very upset right now. Conflict gives me allergies.”

And feeling guilty during isn’t the same thing as being sorry but they somehow confuse the two.
