You wouldn’t believe how shitty and selfish boyfriends/husbands can be on the Labor & Delivery Unit.

The beds are basically a twin-sized bed, but they’ll try to “share” the bed with her, forcing her to squeeze up against the guardrails. Not fun when you have staples/sutures from a C-section to worry about.

They’ll bring in their entire gaming console and monopolize her TV, ignoring the newborn baby and his SO to play video games. The hospital I worked for actually had to ban visitors from bringing gaming consoles, that’s how common it was.

They’ll eat off her meal tray, leaving her with barely any food left. They’ll treat the nurses like waitresses, ordering sodas and coffee from them even though there’s a beverage station in the lobby. The list goes on…

There were more shitty partners and god awful man-babies on the L&D unit than any other place I’ve seen.

So she got stitches, and he convinced her to switch to the more comfortable (for a hospital) bed? They deserve each other! He for being L/NV, her for actually acceding. Ugh.

I know the women post this and think it’s cute/funny but it’s actually embarrassingly sad.
