So true. And I have been thinking of writing a post about this.

I had dinner with a friend the other night and the moment we sat down her boyfriend called demanding to know where she was and why she didn’t answer his call five minutes earlier. She answered him cheerfully and he told her she needs to ‘drop the attitude’. When I stared at her in astonishment, she claimed ‘he’s under so much stress at work’. I started to explain why it was wrong for her to accept this behavior and her response was ‘I’m a bitch sometimes to’. Nah sis. He’d be gone if that were me

OH.MY.GOD. I wish this was a lie or some twisted wanting to be the victim thing. But it's so true. I feel so distressed thinking about all the women going through this. Or the ones that went through it.

I feel worried for the young girls who get brainwashed and taught to believe this. It's a sad fucking world.

I have double standards. I don’t see a man and a woman who say they drink the same way. The woman is probably gonna get giggly and say a few embarrassing things. The guy will get violent.

My “friend” tried to justify her cousin raping me “because he was drunk” 😓 I was too but I was able to clearly say stop and try to leave multiple times but I guess it didn’t matter👌
