My friend took my phone and deleted the message thread for me. I was annoyed at first but then I felt like a weight was lifted. I'm so glad she did it - there's nothing to look back on and make myself upset over. It definitely helps with the healing.

I accidentally did this with my ex’s messages because I didn’t know it was unrecoverable. But honestly that was SO helpful during my recovery.

Yeah I found that out too; once it's gone it's gone. I realize now it was vital to my recovery. Good riddance!

This is what I always do, immediately. In fact, sometimes I do it during the dating phase just so I don't get too obsessive or reread message threads and allow my imagination to take over.

The dating phase is what I imagine the 7th hell to look like. Just an endless loop of dates 1-5 getting excited then being let down, starting to fall for someone then they blow it and starting all over again. Hell, I tell thee!!!
