Hey everyone, I want to work on my own person femininity - I don’t feel like a very feminine or womanly woman! If you have resources like books or YouTube channels you can recommend please share them. Or if you have advice from discovering your own femininity please share that too! Any role models you admire?

I grew up in a family that didn’t have much, and my mum was not that interested in anything like a sense of personal style or feminine things - she was just under pressure trying to raise a family and work full time, didn’t have time to focus on herself. So I grew up not quite looking after myself, didn’t learn anything about personal self care (like skin care or how to take good care of my hair), makeup, or sense of style. I didn’t grow up with a sense of what it meant to be a woman and how to embrace my womanliness!

I feel like that is somewhat missing from my sense of self and I’d love to embrace it more. I’m pretty interested in self development, and this January I’m aiming to develop my own personal philosophy and forge a greater sense of who I am - id like to include femininity in that, but I’ve realised that while I have plenty of resources on philosophy, I have none on femininity.

Btw this work is all for myself, not for dating or for men - I’m not interested in male ideas of femininity which appear to be based around looking attractive to men and being submissive! I’m in a relationship with a HVM, who cares for me as I am, none of this work would be to change anything or define anything for him.
