Not sure if many of you guys care but, I ended things officially with him on video call just twenty minutes ago. It hurts and feels freeing at the same time. He was such a sweet, supportive guy and I could tell him anything, so I really feel like I lost a best friend.

I explained how we both wanted different things out of life and even if we were to become more “official” there was no future in this if he was only staying for two years and then traveling for, according to him, TEN YEARS. Yup. I asked him his approx timeframe and he said TEN. I would be 35 by then. No way am I waiting for anyone that long and I told him so. There is absolutely no future. I want kids and marriage by then!

You could tell he was definitely pained by my decision to stop being in contact with him, but its the best for both of us. He asked if I could still be a friend, but not right now. Maybe I’ll come back as a friend, but I gotta eliminate the feelings for him first.

Thanks to the ladies on this group for supporting me!!! I hope we all find the right HVM for all of us!
