This is exactly why I always shut it down when women on here claim to be dating a HVM after a few dates.

Takes 18 months to get to know a person. Mainly because

1) The honeymoon phase dries up and men get shitty fast when they’re comfortable and familiar

2) Stress inducing life events occur and you can see how the man handles it. Usually, he can’t.

Unfortunately for you #2 happened after the first date. Well you saw his true colors and/or maybe the sparks didn’t fly for him.

Either way it’s important for women to see have quickly men can switch from “HVM” to every other disappointing Joe depending on how interested he is in chasing you.

He lost interest sadly. Sorry to hear that. I’m at a stage with dating and relationships where I can now literally tell if I’m ever going to hear from a guy again on the date. Usually I know I won’t around a quarter to mid way through the date. Sad times but it is what it is.

Oh, man! Date sounds like it was fabulous. Where are you from? Here in the States true lockdown/quarantine didn't start until maybe last Friday (at least that felt like the case here in Texas). I'm not sure how long other countries are have been doing it. I know Italy is well into their own lockdown.

It may not really matter, though. It doesn't bode well that he hasn't messaged you since the night of the date, however long ago that was. If the interest was there genuinely on his part, he should have made efforts to call, FaceTime, etc.

On another note, I wonder if all is well with him? I went dark on everyone who wasn't family for a couple of weeks during this month because of a covid scare with my grandmother. People are really going through it right now. This may not be a popular opinion, but if you do hear from him after the craziness of the pandemic has calmed down, I don't think you should be opposed to hearing him out / giving him a second chance. It's absolutely your call, and you're well within your right to choose to move on.
