I think the issue is that men don’t consider it rape unless they actually get in trouble and face consequences. Men think pushing and pushing to get a girl to relent is fine and some men can’t be bothered to understand that sometimes a woman is so scared that she will let him do what he wants to avoid getting punched in the face.

If there isn’t enthusiastic consent from both parties, it’s not consensual.

I will say that Title IX universities are making all students complete lengthy online training every semester about the ins and outs of consent. I’ve had to do 4 now and they won’t let you register for classes or get your grades if you don’t complete them. As a 40 year old woman who doesn’t go out to the bar or parties and get hammered with my friends anymore, I found it annoying because it wasn’t easy to fly though it. I wonder if the college men from this study went through this training.

Contrary to popular opinion, that is not a bad thing. That's what makes subs interesting: the fact that they are themed, or else we'd just have one called /r/all and be done with it.

Fact is, you can go and sympathize with men almost everywhere in Reddit but here we sympathize with women. This is a good thing for you too. It means there are plenty of other subs which would appreciate your insights.
