Part 1: https://www.reddit.com/r/FemaleDatingStrategy/comments/nw5h32/why_being_string_along_in_a_relationship_is_bad/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
As I have promised, this is the part 2.
Q to Man A: Since your gf is using dating site too. What if she meets up with another man and probably have flings/hook ups too?
Man A: * slightly agitated by the Q * Well, it's okay if she meets up with another man. I mean I have been giving her freedom all these times to pursue her life. As for flings/hook ups, as long as she plays safe then I don't mind. I mean, it's a biological needs, right?
Q to Man B: What if your gf is starting to use dating site as well?
Man B: I don't want her to use any dating site. You know exactly there are so many bad men out there.
Q: How's your date day all these times?
Man A: We always try to have quality time together, we have dining out, we talk about so many things and we hangout at her house. But, you know, dining out can be so expensive so we always do 50/50.
Men B: We don't go out much, I think it's because both of us are homebody. So, we pretty much spend time talking and chilling out at either my or her place.
Q: Do you already have sex? If yes, how is the experience?
Man A: Yes, but we do it all the times at her house and definitely quietly because we don't want her family to know about that. I think she enjoys the sex because I have been trying my best to pleasure her despite she never orgams once. She said it's difficult to orgasm.
Man B: Oh, we never have had any sex. We will do it only after marriage, so the farthest thing we do is kissing. But I am feeling so guilty about that, it's definitely a sin.
Q: How do you argue? Are there any recurring problems?
Man A: Whenever we have arguments, I will always be the one who stays calm, stop the conversation all together until she remains calm first before having another conversation. The problem is the fact that she is so stubborn, overthinker, never think about my feelings and I should always cater to her! It's always about her and her feelings.
Man B: I will just let her calm first before we have another conversation. I won't be bother talking to someone who is still angry. The problem is that she is lazy, have no determination and willingness to progress in life, and she is kind of useless.
Q: Any positive thoughts about your gf?
Man A: Sometimes she helps me with my problems too. She's actually a determined person because of how she progresses in her workplace.
Man B: She's actually affectionate, she actually understands me and never bother me while working. Her cooking is delicious too!
Q: Does your gf ever suspect you of anything, like cheating?
Man A: No, she trusts me deeply. She simply believe that I am all fine and never do bad.
Man B: No, she trusts me. I jave convinced her through my actions that I will never do bad.
Q: Does your family approved your gf?
Man A: Yes, in fact, my gf is close to my family. We have been together for so long, you know.
Man B: Yes, they have accepted her.
Q: Do you have any intention to marry your gf? If yes, have you make a clear decision about the timing of the marriage?
Man A: Probably. I don't really know about that. I don't think I am ready for marriage, I don't think my gf is ready too. After all, my family always remind me not to take the relationship seriously. I want to focus myself in career first.
Man B: If I have a choice, I am definitely not going to marry her. But I have to, because we have been together for so long and I am already make marriage promise to my gf. My family, her family and her have been pushing us to get married.
Trivia: These men are currently on LDR situation with their gfs. They both have been in this situation for around 1-2 years.
Q: Since you are in LDR, how is the intensity of the communication? Do you miss her? Do you want to meet her?
Man A: We talk/call everyday. Yes, I do miss her and I am currently saving money so I can meet her.
Man B: We talk/call everyday. If I have a chance I will definitely meet her because it's been a long time since we meet.
Q: What if there's a woman that actually have a crush/fall in love with you?
Man A: I have no choice but to friendzoned her. (translation: friend with benefits all the way!)
Man B: Let's just be friends. (translation: free therapist and free companionship, woo!)
Q: Do you actually love her? Are you actually happy about the relationship?
Man A: I love her and I am happy but... If only she is less emotional and not overtly being an overthinker. The relationship is too tiring for me.
Man B: Yes, but if only she has more determination in life and definitely knows where to stand in life. I am sick of telling her what to do in life.
Conclusion:
A man will string a woman along knowing that they will benefit things from her (emotionally, sexually, etc)
A man will somehow realised, deep inside, that no other women will want to date them except their current gf. So, he choose to stay with her instead.
If a man can avoid the marriage, a man will avoid it at all cost.
A man will definitely want his cake too, by having all those dating site meetups/hookups/flings but still be in a relationship. It's like personal harem, right?
A man doesn't want to bother to answer a question on why he breaks up with his long-term gf, so staying is a good thing to avoid that.
If somehow, a man finally marry his long-term gf. It's because of several factors:
a. He realized no other women want him.
b. His family/her family/his gf has been "negging" for marriage
c. He can't come up with any more excuses on why to avoid marriage.
d. Societal pressure because some cultures don't want any long-term relationship with no intention of marriage.
e. Free therapist, free babysitter, free bangmaid, everything is free! So, why not?
TL; DR STRING ALONG RELATIONSHIP IS A BULLSHIT!! NOTHING GOOD FROM IT!
