Damn, on point. When clear offenders face consequences, it means more potential accountability for the rest down the road, which means a loss of power. No wonder I see men pussy footing around to condemn what is clearly reprehensible. When it comes down to brass tacks, their number one thing is power. Money is power, and sex is power, elevated social status is power, and the power means much more to them than ethics. It’s almost as if there has to be some kind of credible threat (like a war, or social stigmatization, which we are kind of behind on when it comes to misogynistic thought) to force ethical behavior.

Men form these groups with each other, women tend to form them with men. That is one of our biggest problems.

It always comes down to power, control, dominance. Took me decades to piece this together. Men and women use vastly different metrics to navigate the world and relationships. Even now, at 53, it still blows my mind... but I'm savvy to it.
