I don't like the climate of fear that meToo has brought about, making any even vaguely sexual social interaction fraught with danger. In a digital age, face-to-face interaction is difficult enough. This is going to encourage people to retreat more and more into video games and porn. Maybe, once the Metaverse arrives, we'll all just have virtual sex with porn stars in lieu of actual people. Safer, easier, and not liable to get you meTooed.

On a more personal note, I've wondered if I'd even exist if my parents had met during meToo. Would mom have meTooed dad for the crime of asking out a fellow co-worker? Or would HR have shut down their workplace romance? That's a rather depressing thought on the sorry state of modern same-sex relations.

A significant portion of MeToo is just women using sex as a weapon to further climb the social ladder and tear down men. I.E. they already did that before by trading sexual favors for career advancement (an option men don't have, I'd like to point out). And then decades later claim that they were forced into it so they can leverage even more power in the feminist climate of "believe all women".

I'm sure there was a noble genesis to it, and undoubtedly there have definitely been some disgusting cases of men that deserved it. But one has to wonder why they come forward only 20 years later, and/or right as someone is about to be elected to an office (perfect time to smear their name)?

I saw people lamenting the resignation of Al Franken on Reddit this morning. I've loved Al Franken the politician from the get, but I confess to basking in some Schadenfreude. They alienate male allies left and right, and then surprised Pikachu when Roe is overturned.

The definition of harassment is distorted. Saying "hi" to a stranger is not harassment. Asking a coworker out, is not harassment.

Harassment is when a person continues to persist after getting rejected.
