I don't mean to be disgenerous with my title here. I know this sounds like our equivalent to "feminism is for men too" or " the patriarchy hurts men too". But unlike most people who said that I'm being serious here. A common critique of feminists is about men wanting to break gender roles. While they perpetuate the same gender roles they claim they want to challenge. This is partially true when it comes to conservatives, red pillers, or some MRA types. They claim to want to challenge gender roles, but their action says otherwise.

For example, men can complain about how they are not expected to show emotions. A man may express a dislike for the societal expectation that men should suppress their emotions, yet he may still struggle to openly express vulnerability or seek emotional support. He may feel pressure to conform to the stereotype of being stoic and emotionally strong, even if it goes against his personal beliefs. Another example is here. A man may express a desire for gender equality and challenge traditional gender roles, but he may inadvertently perpetuate these roles by policing other men's behaviors. He may criticize or mock men who deviate from societal expectations, reinforcing the idea that men must conform to specific gender norms.

So again feminists are partially right when they say men can perpetuate the same toxic gender roles they claim to hate. I notice women and feminists do a similar thing here too. When it comes to double standards. I split this post into two parts. Double standards that affect women. And double standards that are perpetuated by women. First, let's start with the double standards that affect women.

DOUBLE STANDARDS THAT AFFECT WOMEN.

I usually see women complain about how they have to deal with double standards. And now men never have to deal with these double standards, so men's lives are easier. What they fail to realize is that men usually have to deal with the opposite of these double standards.

The same double standard that slut shame women. Is the same double standard that virgin shame men. You don't like the fact that women are hated for being assertive and they are considered b*tches. Ok, fine then what about men who are hated for being passive? Women are often expected to be passive and have limited aspirations due to double standards and toxic gender roles. But men are usually the ones expected to be confident and ambitious. Women are the ones usually expected to be too emotional or hysterical. Men are often expected to be emotionally stoic or unexpressive due to double standards and toxic gender roles. You don't like that women are expected to not be intelligent or not know anything about sports, cars, engineering, science, politics, etc. This is the same double standard where men are the ones expected to always be intelligent and know everything because what kind of man doesn't how to change a tired or know nothing about Football (sarcasm)?

My point here is that any double standard a woman can complain about. There is usually an opposite of that double standard that negatively affects men. All these double standards are the same side of the same coin. You can't remove, criticize, or even talk about one side of the coin without removing, criticizing, and talking about the other side of that coin too. So let's move on to the second part.

WOMEN PERPUATHING THE DOUBLE STANDARDS THEY CLAIM TO LIKE.

Of course, men do the same thing. But usually, when men do this they are targeting other men. I rarely see women do this to other women, I'm not saying this doesn't happen. But I usually see women complain about these double standards while making fun of men with the same double standards. So the paradoxical thinking between men and women is a bit different here.

For example, again men would complain about the toxic gender roles where men are not allowed to show emotions. But then they would shame other men for showing emotion hence the paradoxical views. While women are more likely to complain about body shaming, instead of women being hypocritical and shaming other women. They would shame men in the form of small d*ck jokes or short-height jokes. So basically it's ok to body shame men to them.

My favorite part here is when they expect men to automatically be leaders and positive role models. Then they complain that only men are expected to be leaders and heroes lol. I was going to include this in the first part. But there is a perpetuation that happens with men being expected to be leaders or positive role models. I feel like it's important to mention this in the second part. They claim to not like how women aren't taken seriously when it comes to leadership roles. But they are the main ones pushing for men to use their privilege to help poor women. They are the main ones who want men to stand up for women in the workplace. And then they complain about how men's voices are always heard and not women's voices are never heard. It's ironic how some feminists perpetuate benevolent sexism or infantilize women. And they wonder why people don't take women's voices seriously when it comes to leadership roles.

This is easily understandable. Because women are expected to take a passive role and follow the lead of others. They may be discouraged from taking on leadership positions or being seen as role models, limiting their opportunities to showcase their skills, expertise, and potential to inspire others. Women are discouraged from pursuing ambitious goals or striving for high levels of success.

Women are expected to be dependent on others, particularly men, for decision-making and problem-solving. They may be discouraged from asserting their independence or taking charge of their own lives, perpetuating a dynamic where they are viewed as needing guidance or support from others at all times. So even some feminists can fall victim to this mindset of always expecting men to be the ones to lead in society.

In conclusion.

This is when we get to the "leftwingmaleadvocates can help women too" part. Similar to how feminists say that feminism can help men. Saying that under feminism men won't feel the need to suppress their emotions and always be strong. But they say this can never happen because men view feminism as bad or the enemy.

But I will honestly believe in the opposite with women. I believe we can help women. Women won't feel the need to be submissive or inferior if we have a middle ground where we all agree. But this will never happen with the amount of cognitive dissonance some feminists have with double standards and gender roles lol.
