In both the headline study by the authors, and an older study by the same authors, there's a paragraph blaming feminist activism in about the nicest words possible for reinforcing traditional gender beliefs about sexual assault (that it's primarily an issue of men assaulting women, and not the other way around).

I'm not pointing this out to be petty, or hate on feminism, or act like feminism is the only reason we have these traditional beliefs in society. But it is kind of frustrating because feminists hold institutional power. So it should be their responsibility to be better about some of this. Or at least not stand in the way of progress when people point out the relative gender party that exists here.
