For more that I dislike traditionalists, trying to say that traditionalists have a connection with Ted Bundy is at best a strawman, at worst a delusion. Many women were against feminism too, just remember that the Equality Act didn't pass because of Phyllis Schlafly's STOP (Stop Taking Our Privileges).

Also, Ted Bundy had motives that weren't political and more to do with his weird infancy plus psycopathy, trying to link him with anti feminism sentiment is very close to conspiracy theory style of "linking the dots".

It sounds like utter nonsense. America may have been different from Europe, but in general the majority of the whole of society supported equality of women with all kinds of laws, houses for battered women, education programs, etc. In hindsight maybe even too much, striving after nothing less than equality of outcome. It is the myth of 2nd wave feminism having to fight a tremendous battle against patriarchy to get their rights. It was never like that. Of course after a while there was a growing hostility against women like Valerie Solanas, Andrea Dworkin, and feminists defending and even applauding them (Gloria Steinem admired Andrea Dworkin, too few people know that!). But that may have been hostility to feminism, it was never hostility to women's rights.

Both Ted Bundy and Ed Kemper had overbearing, feminist mothers who hated them because they were men.

One of them had to sleep every night in a locked, basement cellar because his mom thought he would rape his two sisters during the night if he was let out. Not because he had exhibited any proclivity to do such a thing, she just thought that's how men behaved.

At least one (if not both) mom's were divorced, and her son reminded her of her ex, which is why she was so abusive to him. She would say things like "no woman is ever going to like you, you're always going to be a virgin, etc". I think that's the one who fucked his mom's dead corps and said something like, "now who's the virgin?".

There's definitely a hidden side of this story that doesn't get much attention. Although Mindhunter on Netflix talks about this a little bit.

Ah Ted Bundy. Who was apparently an attractive, college-educated and charismatic man. Is there any talk about the fact that whenever people talk about "killers" and "rapists" their description is not one of a killer/rapist but of someone who looks ugly and is socially awkward?
