Yeah, I think this is stretching it. There are a million things like this, and if we'd post every individual one we'd just get a collection of rage bait, basically.

We're not opposed to discussing the issues, but you already opened a couple of similar threads.

I think this is more of a subculture initiative thing. Like, eg. a Jewish environmental awareness group, or the Seaman's Mission, or the Country Women's Association.

The existence of these initiatives shows that we still place women as a specific subgroup or community within society, in a way that we don't with men. There is no "community" of men, in that sense.

Having said that, I would find it really heartening to see a similar project specifically led by men and labelled as such, eg. "Men Building For The Homeless". I'm not sure that it would be opposed, but it probably wouldn't attract much government or corporate attention.
