Feminism is joined to the hip to leftist discourse. Thus, you'll hear ever talking about the patriarchy from liberals to Marxists. From politicians, pundits people who self identity with the left. It's embedded in academia and the media.

I've been thinking the same. So much of feminism, as it presently exists, maps onto neoliberal(and even outright conservative) patterns of thought (literally the classic conservative "the law protects the in-group but doesn't bind them, while it binds the outgroup but does not protect it"). And at the same time, actually left wing people I have spoken to primarily care about addressing real systemic problems, like fixing wage stagnation and housing, and not spending their energy on nonsense like protecting women from the discomfort of "exercising at a gym where men also exercise", to reference a currently popular post.

It's slow, but I think more and more people on the left are coming around to the reality that misandrists are at the wheel in feminism. Most people on the left I've met genuinely care about people, so the consistent pattern of feminism towards 50% of the population is gradually undermining their base of support on the left.

Personally, I think Feminism is going to schism at some point in the next decade and misandrists will become a conservative faction. It's a consistent pattern I've seen in individuals that choose to violate broader values for short term gain/satisfaction. Over time they tend more authoritarian and rightward leaning in their beliefs and actions and they gradually shed whatever moral and ethical concerns once grounded them. The same thing happens with organizations.

Look at the Republicans, for example. When the Southern Strategy occurred they purposefully sold out their prior moral positions due to the Democrat party finalizing its swap to being anti-racism and outcompeting them for the political Left. Because they chose to sell out their values for short-term power, every single time a new, more extreme position has come their way they have been incapable of pushing back (Reaganism, the Tea Party, Evangelical Christian Nationalism, and now MAGA).

And feminism is following the same pattern. They sold out, first to business interests during the 1960s that were more than happy to promote their integration into the workforce, and feminism in turn only complained of their wages relative to men, ignoring how the wage stagnation from higher worker supply than job demand harmed everyone (thus failing to support robust minimum wage law, even though that would have obviously helped women given the pay difference). Having already begun to compromise their egalitarian roots, they were powerless to stop the increasingly radical fringe of academics, and the radical fringe in turn has been unable to stop the rise of either Cakism or outright misandrists within their spaces. The only move left following misandrists is for authoritarians to gain prominence (who will be supported by the Cakists as that's the only potential way to have and eat their cake), and at some point during this period they will do what all hate-based authoritarian movements do and pivot to being conservative, as they must now rely completely on hate and victimization to sustain themselves, and not moral principles.

Bruh yes it's something they talk incessantly about.

In the Destiny subreddit as of now they're constantly painting the excesses of the Democrats/left-aligned politics as solely manifestations of lefties vs mainstream thought, because of how libbed out it's become (meaning, enoughsandersspam type "Bernie Bro," flingers who erased the races of his diverse base, Roland Martin/The Root type's who've spread myths pathologizing black men cyclically around election cycles, and liberal queens such as Contrapoints who considers her empathy for men her "pick me" phase and runs defense for people like Amber Heard, are granted cover in their weird turn-around on these topics, when it was once one of the better spaces for it).

But it's the entirety of left-aligned thought/systems, leftists and liberals; people like Dr.Tommt J Curry and a lot of black male studies academics are father left than me, go search the field up on twitter and see the material in academia and online backlash they get from leftist/non-liberal feminists for daring to challenge orthodoxy around racialized maleness).

To 98% of leftists/progressives online, feminism IS leftism. They are synonyms.

There are real feminist local groups. They tend to be very queer (except for gay/queer men).

A lot of younger groups are intersectional feminists. but all rhetoric torwards men is very guilty coded:
Men have to help men. Feminist spaces are safespaces. Men have to improve themself.

I get that there is a lot of stuff to uncover. But at a certain point of selfreflexion your stuck as a men. A lot of feminists groups still uphold traditional masculinity. and no amount of black fingernails ink or unisex clothing can cover it.

Leftists still buy into the idea that MRAs can somehow control what videos other people get recommended on YouTube. I've looked all over the YouTube dashboard, and realized that it's completely impossible.
