I would argue the BBC is a perfect example of this, there are even presenters that identify as feminists on air. There are multiple programs dedicated to women’s issues. The BBC is publically funded and they treat men’s rights like it’s harmful. Anytime an issue impacting men and boys is discussed it will be with an identified feminist present and always linked to some form of harm in the end.

Yes, institutions supporting feminism is one of the biggest problems. That's the reason why we criticize feminism. When we criticize feminism, we actually criticize institutions supporting it. We wouldn't care about feminism if it weren't supported by institutions.

Moving beyond the BBC this is essentially what has occurred in the UK.

Civil service: As of 2025, Women constitute ~55% of the civil service, maintaining a majority representation that has been consistent since 2010. While women dominate in lower and middle grades (e.g., 57.0% at Executive Officer level), they are increasingly represented in senior roles, with roughly 49.2% of the Senior Civil Service (SCS) being women in 2025. Women make up approximately 54.6% of the UK Civil Service.

As the older senior civil servants retire the percentage will shift to women as the current executive level move into the senior roles.

Parliament: Following the 2024 general election, the Parliamentary Labour Party (PLP) has a near-equal gender balance, with women making up approximately 46% to 48% of its MPs. Out of over 400 Labour MPs, this represents a significant increase in female representation, making it one of the most gender-balanced parties in the House of Commons, which overall is 40% female.

Despite the equality there is still a Women's Parliamentary Labour Party: 'The WPLP is an official caucus within the Parliamentary Labour Party (PLP). It is currently one of the largest groupings in Parliament, consisting of approximately 190 female MPs and over 60 female peers.

Role: It acts as a "safe space" and a collective resource for women to challenge the traditionally male-dominated culture of Westminster.
Leadership: As of 2025, the group has been chaired by Rosie Duffield MP.
Influence: The WPLP uses its collective weight to push for policy changes and ensure women’s voices are central to the party's national agenda.

In the UK parliament a working majority of ~326 seats is required to govern so whilst this number is well short it does mean a rebellion by this faction can prevent laws being passed. A vote on a 'Minister for Men and Boys' would be interesting.

As I previously noted, the BBC does appear ideologically captured. The 50:50 initiative achieved its outcome of gender neutrality in 2023 and, much like the civil service, has a greater number of women in middle manager roles. The imbalances remain at senior level but as these people retire they will naturally be replaced by the current middle management.

Law - Women account for approximately 70% of law degree enrolments and 67% of law conversion students. Currently, women comprise 63% of all solicitors, 53% of new admissions to the Roll, and 41% of barristers. In the judiciary, women make up 39% of court judges and 28% of those in the High Court and above. At the highest level, women hold 17% (2 out of 12) of the seats on the Supreme Court.

Law is the slowest mover of the three areas but with the ratio's at the foundations it is only a matter of time before this feeds through. The supreme court though is clearly still extremely male dominated and does require some balance.

You would think, from a feminist perspective, the work is done in the UK its just a matter of allowing people to retire. That is why I'm confounded by the blatant attacking of masculinity that is occurring in the current climate, its almost like they have nothing left to fight for so they needed a new narrative leading to the public deconstruction of the masculinity concept.

Predictions for the future: a massive push for women into construction and trades and a continued push on STEM.

Getting more points because You have a hole between Your legs, You can even have tuition funded because of that. At the same time there's many men in a way worse financial situation and they won't get nothing is nuts to me.

I don’t see this as an issue. Feminism and men’s movements are both anti-status quo so we want institutions to be politically biased. What we’re looking for is rather equal representation on said spaces.
