I hate the double standard too, Reddit shits on Bryant when he was never convicted of anything and his accuser was really sketchy, but they worship Bowie even though he diddled many underage girls.

I saw posts where people were complaining about how much attention his death was getting contrasted against respect for veterans and military personnel (by obvious right wing people).

We do tend to give celebrities too much attention but this is the first time I've seen this kind of attitude towards someone. I figure maybe it's because he's a black man people feel like he's fair game. That would explain conservatives and feminists both having an attitude about it.

I'm 41 also. I can't say I was a fan (Knicks fan here), but it's tragic when anyone loses their life. I've always held the belief when someone dies and there is questionable things they have done, you give some wait time before doing that. A family lost a husband, father, and daughter and other people died as well. It's sad all around.

Idk, apparently there was bruising around her neck and jaw, and lacerations around the accusers vagina consistent with trauma. Seems likely he did it.
