Routine Infant Circumcision is performed on 55% of neotnatals in America (4). It is a surgery with no benefit, and produces only negative outcomes in terms of health (6), unless that individual has treatment resistant phimosis (which occurs in less that 0.5% of males(5)).

It diminishes sexual pleasure and is more likely to increase infection (1), due to the removal of the foreskin which contains a high amount of Langerhans cells (2). There are many studies which show increased susceptibility to infection with circumcison (3).
