Paedophile, 60, who identifies as female is jailed for 20 months for sex with a dog - Suspicion has arose within the public that some criminals are claiming to be transgender to escape harsher men's prisons (Article for example). One reasonable solution, improve the conditions of men's prisons.

My feeling towards circumcision has evolved over the years. These days, it seems a little perverted for a culture to be obsessed with the genitals of an infant that they feel driven to modify them. The older I get the more bizarre the entire ritual seems to me. As a culture if we decided any other body part was unneeded and suggested - at birth - we just chop it off, the entire world would think us absolutely insane. But, not part of a male infants genitals. I think a stronger argument could be made for removing the tonsils or appendix prophylactically than the foreskin.

It is so incredibly sad to think that boys are things so undervalued that any part of them is disposable. But, that speaks to the larger point that society thinks men are of no value and disposable.

[–]The_Airwolf_Theme 16 points17 points18 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The only reason it continues is because the only people affected are male. Therefore the social push to change it will have a very hard time reaching critical mass.

[–]shoetreemoon 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Perhaps if women were required to use the screams of a newborn during circumcision as the mobile ring tone for a few years...just a thought. /s

[–]officerfriendlyrick7 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Circumcision is actually not done that young, that child is barely 3 months old, and more importantly they made some dumb quack to do the surgery, most informed people do it with surgeons you know, I have no clue why these people would just pay 1000 rupees (13.37 US dollars) for such a medically sensitive surgery, that’s just so cheap and unimaginably stupid.

[–]shoetreemoon 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

In the USA, it is done that young. Regardless, I still think it's a perverted, and even barbaric, practice.

[–]officerfriendlyrick7 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Okay. I’m circumcised, I’ve never thought about this until recently, it just never occurred to me, because I was under the impression that circumcision was globally accepted practice, then I found the statistics and got surprised lol

[–]needletothebar 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Circumcision is actually not done that young

depends where you live. in america, circumcision is typically done between 24 and 48 hours after birth.

[–]officerfriendlyrick7 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Oh okay. But I’m sure they don’t do it with a quack for 13.37 dollars. I mean that’s far too less value they see for their child’s genitals.

Most likely he'll kill himself in his teens. Parents who not just force something like this on a kid but do that in the most dangerous way will most likely not care about his mental health. And him being male, nobody else will.

When my daughter and her husband found out they were having a boy, they got in a huge fight about circumcision, and I was uncomfortably present for it. My daughter promised her husband that if anybody came near her baby with a scalpel for an unnecessary medical procedure, she’d make that person regret it for the rest of their life.

He is not circumcised.

[–]Njaulv 26 points27 points28 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I was watching the new series of Undercover, and they threw a big party for a boy's circumcision. It was so weird and alien to me the concept of doing this, and they kept talking about how it would make him a man, and show his heritage and where he is from. Kept telling him it would be only a small bit of pain, and the parents even argued over whether they would have it done in the home or at a hospital. Doing this kind of thing to infants is so much weirder.

[–]GodBirb 16 points17 points18 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It is weirder, but circumcision as a non-infant is fucked as well. I know someone who was circumcised for actual medical reasons as an adult and they were walking funny and in pain for a couple of weeks. No need to put anyone through that.

It just tells you how much pain you put on a baby that can’t express its pain itself.

[–]TipiTapi 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My bet friend had to do it.

It mostly heals in about a month but it is still very sensitive at that point. Scars dissapear in like 2-3 months.

He straight up couldnt walk for like 2 weeks though (i mean he could but only REALLY slowly and carefully) mornings were torture and overall it was not a pleasent things but at least he is healthy.

[–]usku 18 points19 points20 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

This wasn’t a medical procedure.

This was a ritual. He tied it up with horse hair to stop the bleeding. He tied around the glanz……which no surprise reacted badly to the lack of blood.

This was just……superstitions and idiots. Damn.

[–]Quodorom 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Whether it is done in an operating theatre or with a stone knife, it's still genital mutilation when performed on a non-consenting child. And problems like this happen even supposed first class countries - over 100 male infants die in the USA each year from circumcision complications.

[–]needletothebar -3 points-2 points-1 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

no circumcision is a medical procedure. it's all ritual.

[–]PFfounder 102 points103 points104 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Then feminism justify their nonsense by saying :"Yeah but vagina mutilation hurts more.."
Like if you could compare such pain...

[–]Bone-Juice 93 points94 points95 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I feel that maybe we just shouldn't mutilate baby genitals at all. Both are horrible practices and one certainly does not justify the other.

[–]sskkarz 51 points52 points53 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Woah woah slow down with all that logic

[–]Bone-Juice 34 points35 points36 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sorry, I may have gotten a little carried away there.

[–]Normal-Yogurtcloset5 15 points16 points17 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

A nurse told me that when she hears people say that MGM is painless because the baby boys do cry she tells them it’s because they go into shock and, sometimes, when they lift them up, they’re bodies are stiff as a board. Imagine coming into the world and this is your first experience.

[–]shru_Kay 13 points14 points15 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Pain and suffering is not worth competing for in any shape or form. Specially in terms of torturing babies.

[–]TipiTapi 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It is worse.

So what? Its still bad. Something being worse does not make it OK. Genocide is worse than both.

I'm pretty sure sleep away camp or whatever that movie was called is about that. I could be wrong, but I remember reading about it over a decade ago.

[–]Sali_2413 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

This will not be a nice story and it's kinda long so read at your own discretion.

I had to take a circumcision when I was 11 and I didn't want it but my parents pretty much forced me to do it and they all said you would be a proper part of your culture if you do this but at the time I didn't want to do it. It pretty much hurt to do anything for a few weeks but it was done properly but at first they wanted to do it at home, early when I was a child but for some odd reason they weren't able to do it and I still remember the feeling of being held down and not being able to do anything while someone else had complete control over me which I feel like has fucked me up ever since. They even made me feel like I wasn't part of the family because I wasn't circumcised and sometimes they even made jokes about me being too scared to do it which annoyed me as a kid. Now whenever someone brings up circumcisions or makes a joke about it I feel like killing myself but I can't say anything cos nobody knows about it. Sorry for the massive rant but yh.

[–]AceofMandos 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

We should really put all the people doing this to there kids on trial for abuse. Srsly. How can you think it's ok?

[–]Normal-Yogurtcloset5 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

When will this barbaric practice be left in the dustbins of history?

[–]Kagedeah 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm circumcised but mine was done for medical reasons as an adult. In my view, it should not be performed unless there is a clear medical need for it and the person is 18+.

[–]MoozesModiMoozi 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Im circumcised and didnt mind but I do question how its not equal to genital mutilation. Also, if Jewish folk can wait till their Teenagers to do it the. why cant everyone and ask the kids consent? No need to do this to a new born

[–]rtechie1 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's what the Muslims do. I believe they circumcise around 13.

It is equal to genital mutilation.

Just to be pedantic, it isn't 'equal' to genital mutilation, it IS genital mutilation. That's both my opinion, and by the clear definitions of Female Genital Mutilation.

[–]Neppy_sama 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

The kid would eventually take that choice when he grows up. The adults need to stop forcing rituals in the name of traditions.

[–]Itrusttheinternett[S] 14 points15 points16 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Most men if they aren't circumcised at birth would never even consider it. It's so bizarre.

[–]Neppy_sama 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

My friend of mine had his foreskin retracted during erection the foreskin got stuck underneath the head and was swelled. The doctors advised him to do a circumsion though he went counseling for a while to make him agree.

[–]not_gareth 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

There are easier ways to fix this. Surgery is always the last option and it just proves it because they made him go to counselling to consent. I hate that doctors straight away resort to surgery. Such a disgusting world.

I remember in fourth grade, a few of us boys were standing in a circle peeing into shoe (I have no memory of why, so don't ask), and one boy had no head on his dick. I didn't ask, but I thought it was weird.

later when I learned about circumcision, I thought "ah, that kid just wasn't circumcised so his head wasn't exposed".

then later yet I saw what an uncircumcised penis looks like, and no...the kid had a stump. I have no doubt it was a botched circumcision.

This is why parents who say 'become a doctor' feel mildly sociopathic to me.

Parents who think anyone who is a child of theirs should be a doc, may be lacking empathy.

The latter part is that not all docs are actually intelligent in joke form.

No he'll just have to have a super awkward conversation about how his penis is mutilated and... Without the glans it'll be pretty tough to orgasm. All things every boy should have to deal with ... Builds character I'm sure.

I hope whatever school he goes to he's not forced to shower.

[–]needletothebar -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Without the glans it'll be pretty tough to orgasm.

why do you think the glans has anything to do with orgasms?

[–]HeterogameticHuman 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

How many stories do we have to see, to finally get people to wake up, and stop this crazy practice? Saw a story, where a Muslim family refused to get their son circumcised, but the doctor kept on forcing the parents to do it, even though they didn’t want to do that to their son. The doctor talked about all the “benefits” of genital mutilation, so the parents decided to listen to the doctor, and when it was done, the baby was crying nonstop and was bleeding out of his penis. The parents knew something wasn’t right, but they went through with it.

This happens. When i worked for a pediatrician she would cut the foreskin the lay the foreskin out to make sure she didnt cut of any penis. I always felt that was a really poor time to check if a mistake was being made. The used a mogen clamp so the way its done its hard to tell what all got caught up in the clamp.

That's why...that's why the individual needs to make the final decision on medical procedures, wait until he's 18 or an adult then he can decide if he wants the procedure, this includes the right to get an injection or not to an injection, the individual has the final say.

The comment on the article is really something.

India. Not America. Lots of bad things happen in India, and yes, I have Indian friends and I’m married to a third world terrorist (she terrorizes me anyway) so you can’t cal me a raaaaacissttt, it’s not gonna work.

Wtf is this comment?

[–]wedge754 40 points41 points42 points 4 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link

I, too, make sure I retain 1 black acquaintance so I can make racist remarks without repercussion.

So the irony of my comment was lost on you? Interesting…..a guy can’t even make an obvious joke these days with woke loonies. Woketards are so irritating.

...better?

[+]MiddleReasonable647 -28 points-27 points-26 points 4 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

I read it twice and decided, no, it’s not better, you’re still being a woketard.

[–]My_Butt_Itches_24_7 16 points17 points18 points 4 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

No, the guy reframed the situation correctly in hopes that you would see the error of your ways. You didn't.

[+]MiddleReasonable647 -6 points-5 points-4 points 4 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

You guys are amazingly daft. What’s it like to go through life pretending to be more virtuous than God Himself?! To pretend that all comments require someone to take offense?! To put yourself on the side of the angels and cast all others into the outer darkness?! Bunch of modern Torquemadas.

…wut?

[–]MiddleReasonable647 -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

It is a very straightforward statement. That’s what.

[–]GodBirb 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

It was fine to explain as a joke without calling people ‘woketards’ for missing it. Especially when there are people out there that act the exact same way as that ‘joke’ while being deadly serious lol

[–]MiddleReasonable6470 points 4 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Woke culture is insufferably sanctimonious. Puke on it. But you are polite and your point is reasonable, thanks.

[–]GodBirb1 point 4 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You’re right, but not all criticism of right-leaning politics is completely nullified because some people do the same but in a really insufferable way like you say

[–]RogerJohnson__ 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

you realize most american males were mutilated at birth right? while only a small minority of indians are.

What god

There are so many religions and plenty of them have multiple gods.

Specify which god. Is it Anubis, Odin, Thor, Vishnu, Shiva, Loki, Zeus, Hades, god from Bible or Quran....

[–]MiddleReasonable647 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The point of the comment was not religion. I’m not going to argue religion here.

[+]i_quit -7 points-6 points-5 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Ignore them. Life isn't worth living unless they're offended victims.

[–]lmaogetbodied32 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Owning up to the reality of what happened to you isn’t “victimisation”.

You people are so far into denial that you fail to see the wrong about cutting infant penises. Do you not have common sense? Or did they circumcise your brain too?

[–]i_quit 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You're so determined to be mad you missed the point entirely lol

[–]needletothebar 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

genital mutilation is more common in america than it is in india.

[–]not_gareth 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's past your bed time young child, please ask your parents next time if you would like to use the internet. It really is not safe for an 11 year old to be on the internet unsupervised.

[–]MiddleReasonable647 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I asked my parents and they said it’s ok. They are supervising me.

[–]KINGCRAB715 -4 points-3 points-2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The picture of that guy looks like he did it on purpose so that he could eat it.

[–]AsianAssHitlerHair 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That's the doctor who saved the baby, Dingus

[–]KINGCRAB715 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sounds like his dingus wasn’t saved
