This reminds me of those worldwide equality indexes that count women outperforming men as "equal" but men outperforming women as "unequal". The result is that the gender equal countries in the study are all countries where women are, by definition, privileged over men in basically every facet of life.

For me the absolute worse time I saw this kind of ridiculous thing was a 538 article that which name is "Women Aren’t Always Sentenced By The Book. And Maybe They Shouldn’t Be" (no, this is not satirical)

The article goes on to point how man are the biggest victims of the legal system getting higher punishments, coming back to prison more... but one of the points they were making was that we should be extra protective of women because they tended to live more with their kids prior to being locked up and because of this the child wouldn't be with the only parent they live with. This is the quote about the subject

You don't need to be a genius to know that male prison population is WAY higher than female prison population. Hell, the article gives enough reason for you to get this point. So probably it isn't surprising to anybody that the amount of female prisoners that he is talking about, is less than 7% of the amount of male prisoners reported. It's beyond ridiculous

They'll use a methodology predisposed to find certain results and then use those results to affirm their world view.

It happened with domestic violence.

it happened with rape.

It happened with family courts.

And it happens nearly every time "patriarchy" is brought up.

I guess it's easy to find female leaders who where hated by people for their incompetence/bigotry... just like male politicians... Thatcher, the Korean president who was under the control of a sect (Don't remember her name)... You can fill this list with more example I'm sure

For me, it comes down to the person, really. I would trust a genuinely strong woman over a weasel of a man to lead our country through hard times or war any day.
