A prenup would have been useless because Bezos did not build amazon until AFTER they were married. A pre-nup allows you to keep the wealth you had PRE-Nuptially, before the marriage, not wealth you built during it. For that you'd need a POST-nup which cannot be initiated until after the marriage. good luck getting your wife agreeing to that.
Bezos was in large part the author of his own destruction, his wife did not get fat or [get caught] cheating. He cheated because he fell for another woman.
I strongly suspect "his kids" are not his because they do not even look fully caucasian. And I am not just talking about the adopted Chinese daughter.

This is actually a bad example. First of all he is the one with a new partner, second they both agreed for a good solution. She now only gets 25% and also gives her cut into the company management to him, that he still has his 16% cut of amazon. Therefore they found a reasonable solution for both of them, no bitching around.

What is the point is that she was actively involved in the company from day dot from the financial side, worked her ass off to make it a success, was the CFO for many years, so she was a significant part of the success of the venture, unlike most wives....on that basis she deserves half.
