This is how I felt in the last election. A lot of people are very emotionally invested in working hard and their labor having value, but really there's a big labor surplus in developed countries, so wages are being squeezed down below the high cost of living there. When there's a glut of something on the market, the price goes down. It's time for UBI in developed countries, but too many people are too proud of their labor, so they will sit and wait for things to go back to the 1970s and vote for any fool who says he can turn the clock back.
