I worked in games for 12+ years. The idea that she got a senior position within months is a mindfuck.

I literally had to work countless unpaid internships, double shifting a real job just to break in. Even then, the pay and hours were shit. Sweatshop mentality, inept managers like this woman who doesn't even play games. I would spend months trying to negotiate pay, my bosses constantly dismissing me while my work carried the bulk of the projects. Countless layoffs, so much stress it resulted in a nervous breakdown. I couldn't take it anymore.

Yet, I witnessed infinite simping if my fedora wearing male coworkers even got a sniff of a feeemale. Women were promoted like this one as a PR move, using them for promos, while the nerds slaved away.

Fucking disgusting industry. Comics, movies, vidya, sports.. It all gets ruined.

The company I work for boasts about hiring women and people of color at a higher rate, about 70% of their total employees. Yet whenever they need harder work done, not just of a physical nature but where there has to be high exertion, the men are called over to do it. The women are given the easiest jobs, are generally lazier, way slower, are constantly socializing, and the young ones have terrible attitudes. A team of three guys gets the same work done as ten women in an hour.

This issue of "sexist air conditioning" has become an issue in the West so lets talk about how women always get to be inside complaining about 'standing' when the guys are in the sun constantly pulling/pushing, lifting, etc. And now the managers (who are all women) are having problems with the younger millennial women because their customer service and attitudes are atrocious and theyre pretty much useless. And like half of them, if not more, are single mothers. Most of them are overweight, but not just chubby, like morbidly obese. Unfortunately, this makes the "skinny" ones the bitchiest. They cant fake a smile to customers or co-workers but funny enough, they all act great to the one fuckboy at the site out of like 10-20 men.

Have a look at her public LinkedIn Profile.

Worked at 8 Game Studios since 2011
Of that, only 2 have any decent tenure (over 2 years).
Of those 2, one is a "nights and weekends" company that she has been working at for over 5 years and hasn't shipped any titles
A lot of her contributions are in the "soft" part of the industry, and uses a lot of words that meant she was on the team but not strong enough to indicate she actually did anything. Terms like "co-conceived", "pitched", "shepherded".
A number of the "Shipped Titles" listed under each company would have been under development for some time, and given her length of tenure at the place means her contributions would have been minimal at best.

Her position is listed as "Senior Narrative Designer", so probably means she isn't involved in any coding or game-play aspects.

Where was I going with this? Not sure, but definitely sounds like she has been promoted well above her contribution level, hopefully enough out of the way to not dramatically impact any RIOT offerings going forward. Unless this is an indication of where the company as a whole is going.
