The hardest lesson of all when entering this lifestyle is learning that you only have yourself to count on. People who you've known for decades can suddenly turn on you when in the presence of a woman. I've had buddies do the same to me, they instantly lose themselves and their identities for a little action as if it was the greatest thing of all.

I wrote a very long post about basically this same thing. I had a roommate and best bud that I got jobs for, shared an apartment with, looked after and supported when no one wanted to hire him...

He ended up fucking this girl I was seeing even after he asked me twice if it was ok and I said to him, "If you fuck her our relationship will never be the same."

What did he do? He fucked her.

I had to kick him out of the apartment and I could care less if he dies.

Sigh. My blue pill longtime friend just informed me of his intention to marry his buzzkill girlfriend. He asked me "as a longtime friend, what are your thoughts?" What I didn't say was " why the fuck do you care what i think? You'll do it anyway." What i did say was some variation of "marriage is not all sunshine and rainbows. And according to the married guys I've talked to, things do change inevitable with the relationship." I could not shove a giant red pill down his throat, it would not take and he would just accuse me of being an asshole. Even with my very diplomatically worded response, he's been short with me ever since. Oh well. Don't ask questions you don't want answers to buddy. Fuck. Basically he was never going to get behind any answer other than "holy shit congrats! So happy for you. So glad I'll get to witness my best friend become increasingly emasculated by a pudgy land whale who possesses the uncanny ability to suck all the fun and goodwill out of a room upon entering. A lesson most men learn eventually is that, ultimately, nobody genuinely cares about them. People (society) are generally just looking for ways to use men. No one cares if you marry, who you marry, if you're getting laid or not, whether you have a job or not, whether you are in pain, how you feel etc. Nobody gives much of a shit. My best friend of 15 years still has to let me go when ever his wife clicks in on the other phone line. If not, she will just keep calling and he will just have to bend over further. On top of that, he recently got a new job with a raise plus over time. She now works part-time.

It sucks you got screwed over the way you did, but I suspect you needed to be a better judge of character. I know many trustworthy and reliable men. Almost every male family member (brother, cousin, uncle, etc) of mine are reliable. And anyone I call a friend is also. The ones that aren't, fell into "acquaintance" category and we don't help one another move or do things that friend's would be responsible for. With those folks we do casual, frivolous things only.

On the positive side, you've learned a valuable lesson. To choose wisely who you devote that kind of time & energy towards.

It's typical. I'm lucky my family has good dependable dudes in it. My father is one of the few good "men" in my life because when he could help me, he did without needing to be asked and I always appreciated that. My brothers are two other guys that I love dearly and we moved past the relationships being competitive when were were in our teens to having guys we can call in an emergency. Some of my friends turned on me, others got married and the rest just drifted off into the ether.

I find it very difficult to find good dudes to be friends with and sometimes think that the best friendships are when you're young and don't have to worry about much in life. The older you get, the less people want to let you into their lives. I've also never had bad relationships with women but I've never had one where they were all encompassing in my life and I'm not sure if that's just me or I haven't found one that evokes that.

basically all men that i grew up with fucked up and i told many of them not to hang out so much with their ex GFs because they find it unattractive and needy plus its always the same when the guy gets dumped he wants you back to go to bars or meeting women.

basically most of my friends i grew up with fucked up. i kept the rule to myself that my friends are as important as my girlfriend and if i havent seen someone in a while my girlfriend would surely not see me. basically i could keep girls attracted longer that way because i always already was going my own way while being in a relation as much as i could.

basically many girls gave up on me because im hard to control and i dont play around a lot with stupid push and pull. but thats also the reason they are attracted in the first place.

anyway... many men in their youth fuck up with this. the weaker the guy the more he will be attached to her in the first place. often most of these guys are putting women above their friends and end up as the worst betas that i have ever known.
