The second is thinking that "your genes" are actually yours. Society does have at least some of your ancestors genes. If not you, someone else will carry them on.

When it's an unfair game the best move is not to play.

If you are top 10% you get at best to be slave to an equal top 10% woman, aka no benefit for you. At worse you fuck a woman below you that has the government to force you to do what she wants.

As I see it, both your statements are about instincts. I know "instinct" is a very vague term. What I mean with it, is the way our brains work. See it as the OS nature has installed in our CPU on how to act and respond. It's working on a very basic and primitive level. Take hunger f.e. You (and I) have that hollow feeling in our stomach and all the "alarms" are blaring: I. MUST. EAT! We have created a thin layer of ""civilization"" over that. So instead of running out, catch a duck and devour it raw we go to the supermarket and buy a sandwich. Hypergamy, the urge to screw as much women as possible are both working the same way. As I see it as well instincts work on the exact same level as addiction. Feeling the extreme deep urge to take a substance/ do something which isn't necessarily needed for your own survival. Eating obviously is. But procreation or using heroin isn't.

Hypergamy is a female instinct. It's the "role" nature has given to females to pick the best possible mate for procreation. Thus increasing the chances of survival of the species. Whether you like that or not is irrelevant. It's nature's way and that's never good nor evil. It just is. The feeling a man is "successful" if he's in the 10% group and thus riding the cuntcarrousel is exactly the same thing. The more females he penetrates, the more chance he will procreate. Apparently he has physical traits which the female's instinct say "he's a strong guy, he'll be my best bet to procreate." All my quotes aren't conscious thoughts, mind you. It's coming from that primitive brain which screams: "FOOD, WATER, FUCK, SURVIVE!"

My POV is this. And disclaimer: I know I don't have THE answer. It's only my answer. I have decided to "detach" myself from my instincts. By accepting the instincts are there but I have the choice not to act on them. When f.e. I see a woman walking on the street, I already "hear" my "lizard brain" going DEFCON III. I feel very attracted and horny. But I don't act on it. I just let the rush go by and move on. And 5 seconds later I've already forgotten the whole thing. Yes sex is an amazing feeling and so is female validation. But I don't need both for my own survival, well being and feeling well. When I let my conscious brain intervene it's "telling" me sex is highly overrated. The orgasm is what? 30 seconds on average? Well I can use Mr Logic or Mr Reason perfectly well to obtain those 30 seconds. Or if I want a female body present with that I'll hire 1 or more. It'll cost me money either way. So better to invest it with a 100% chance of "success" over those moronic mindgames. I'll gladly leave that hassle to the "successful" men out there.

My strategy also helped me to overcome my alcohol problem. I did exactly the same thing. "Wait a minute. The booze is tasting amazing. Granted. But I don't need it for my survival and well being." By doing so making the "detachment" by creating a choice: do I control it or do I let it control me?

there was a time when I reflected positively on the thought of having children. that time really passed. now, i don't think the living conditions are good to support my child, and furthermore, i no longer even believe in the concept of genetic reproduction. i don't think it's possible. it all must be some kind of elaborate illusion. also, i don't believe there would likely be a good experience for me with a mate having children. sometimes i think it might've been possible to meet someone early on, before they got all burned and vindictive. however, i don't think that was really an option for me then (and, basically, nothing was) until my mother passed.

At 33 you will still have options for having children. Men can continue to father children well into their advanced years. There have already been several comments on surrogacy. That's one option. Another option is to father a child in another country, not bringing the mother to your country. You can support your child and its mother in a country that is not overtly hostile to male interests if you choose wisely. Of course, this comes with its own conflicts, but it is an alternative. You can also work at building up your resources, and when you are older and wiser you father a child with a younger woman. Again, there are conflicts and risks, but, honestly, most women are pretty stupid, and men learn their lessons as they age. If you're 50 and you father a child with a 25 year old woman, you're going to be able to run rings around her, cognitively speaking (and literally speaking as well). This might not be a popular opinion here, but things are a lot different when you're older. You recognize shit tests immediately and shut then down as quickly. You can mostly predict what others will do. You know how the world works and how to make it work in your favor. And, as above, you can choose where you do this. Fathering a child in some liberal bastion of the western world, be it the US, Canada, Europe, or Australia, is probably a bad idea, but the world is much larger than this.

Having kids is great in normal situation, but not in current climate where woman partied in all their 20 and settle, I repeat, settle for you. They never change, just forced to be with you, which will build resentment and desire to get it outside the marriage with the man she actually like.
