It's funny when I see my relatives.

All the married men are fat as fuck and so are their bitchy wives who yell at them and order them around. I hear stories about the stress the men are under. You know, just going to their summer cottage and getting wasted for an entire weekend while their wives are blowing up their phones or taking sleeping pills like candy because they can't fall asleep naturally anymore. And I can see the stress on their faces. They are like zombies. There used to be a person there, someone who had hobbies, friends and interests but now they are just plough horses for their wives and kids.

Then they ask me why I'm not married yet. Gee, I don't know, dear uncle.

Been divorced for almost 3 years now and a friends wife asked if I was ready to “get serious” and settle back down with a “good woman”. I told her I would bring my GF to their BBQ the next day. I genuinely don’t understand this line of thinking. In a relationship you spend less on rent, bills, food, everything. It’s objectively cheaper to live with someone else than to live alone. The money is the worst thing about being single.
