Haha, I got the "not ambitious enough" from my (now ex) gf who was making 85k/year at her engineering consulting job, which she was able to get with the Masters degree that her daddy paid for, after completing her undergrad that her daddy paid for, all while living in an apartment that daddy paid for..
But I'm not ambitious enough because I've had to join the Army to pay for college, completed the first two years, dealt with a death in the family that derailed me for a couple years, got a job, worked that job to build up savings so that I could go back to school, and am now finally getting back to my goals.
She has had literally everything handed to her but I'm not ambitious.
I came from nothing.
And I have money in the bank, no debt, good credit, no kids, no divorces in my past, and a bright future.
I've made GOOD decisions to get here. And I've had a bit of luck too (didn't die in Iraq).
But she doesn't see any of that. To her I'm some kind of creature who's beneath her because I don't have my own company or a boat or some shit.
Fucking snob. Well her days of slumming it with real people are over, she can enjoy being lonely among the moneyed elite from now on. Because one thing she WON'T find is a man who's used to having money and power who will bow to her wishes like I did.
