GYOW guys. Just signed on this awesome apartment. I own a duplex (that I rent out) which basically pays my rent on this sweet pad. My ex was 100% against moving out of the suburbs. I absolutely love living in Seattle and couldn't be more pleased with my current situation. Im sure no one cares, but my life is so much better after dumping my ex fiancé!... just another example.

Great job man. Do what you think best for you and live only for your self. Personally I also like the city living except for the fact that noise problems with these kind of small apartments. It is extremely easy to live with in terms of cleaning and minimal lifestyle but I also hate noise from neighbors. Newer apartments tend to have paper thin walls and even normal conversations can be heard from your next door neighbor. How are the walls in your apartment?

I see a great divide in this post about City vs Country life. IMHO, personal preferences apart, the advantages of living in an urban area are:

-Making hard cash

-Ease to find entertainment and service

Rural areas advantages:

-Lower cost of living

-More privacy

I think that the best strategy is getting assets while living in cities so you can retire to the country without having to worry about money. What are your opinions?
