I got suspended back in high school for defending myself from a female. Girl sat in class and would constantly fuck with me, for no reason, I wasn't a weird kid, or smelly, or anything like that, she was just an entitled, stuck up, snob, whose parents never taught her any differently.

One day walking through the hall she gave me that kick to the back of the knee that kids do sometimes. Turn around, roll eyes, keep walking. Feel a smack to the back of my head, hear laughing behind me, try to ignore it. Feel another, turn around give her an open hand smack right to the face. She does possibly the worst fainting act I've ever seen, pretends to be knocked out, taken to the principals office, suspended go down to the police station.

It went almost exactly how you'd expect, and honestly I'd probably have been charged if not for hallway cameras, which the school made it an absolute CHORE to gather footage from said cameras. Even afterwords, teachers looked at me like I was a killer for even daring to defend myself.

I'm not saying it's a good thing that these kids do it, because it's terrible and sad and fucked up. But I can almost understand how some of these kids snap after years of torment and go psycho on classmates.

The problem I had wasn't the bullies but beating the shit out of them. I would get penaltized for defending myself by women teachers and staff.

I'm a teacher. I tell the students I teach that the worst thing you can possibly do if you see someone being bullied is to not do anything at all. If you see someone being bullied, don't just stand there and do nothing, don't walk away, do something about it.

That doesn't mean pick a fight with anyone, it doesn't mean throw yourself in harms way. What I'm saying is let the person who is being bullied know that they're worth something in this damn world and that there are people out there who give a fuck about them in some way.

If people grow up thinking no one else in the world cares about them, they'll grow up to value your life as little as people have shown to value their life.

Bullying is natural, it's a result of the males dominance instinct. In the past bullying led to fighting and the bullying ended soon after that. Bullying is essentially testing weak links in the group, telling them covertly to prove themselves to the group. Fighting is a part of it. In all times groups have been only so strong as the weakest link. In this feminized society boys never get to prove themselves which leads to never ending bullying.

If I ever could I always stuck up for the kids getting picked on. I have a life long friend with Asperger's, and kids used to be so cruel when we were really young, I never left his side though even if it made us less popular. The popular kids at school always sucked when you got to know them. They all treat each other like shit and cry on facebook about how they are so deep, they have no "real" friends. Exchanging princess type mean girl girlfriends every month, while all of them are getting cheated on with the years ups or kids from other schools. It's fucking awful.

Agree. No one even talks about the issue of bullying in school. The teachers, parents and admin (or other students) won't take responsibility for what's going on. They just let students get tortured until they're ready to snap.

I was psychologically bullied from 3rd grade to senior year of high school. Also in third grade another student would kick me in the balls till I fell down and laugh at me. After highschool everyone pretends to be nice but I can tell everyone is still talking shit

I blame the teachers. I witnessed and experienced bullying all the way through school from start to finish. During that time I can't recall a single instance of a teacher intervening. I was once punished for daring to call a teacher out for sitting there with a fucking grin while the poor kid who maybe had three shirts to his name had his things stolen and destroyed by her favorite ass kisser.

Honestly I'm surprise that resorting to violence isn't more common. Lots of these poor kids have been tormented daily for years and the schools won't do shit to help. A few of them are bound to snap.

If a kid is not in school to seriously learn, he or she needs to be expelled and sent to work or to browse around the house. Public elementary all the way through high schools are daycares for parents in most cases. If kids want to spend time in educational institutions without trying to learn as a major goal, then what is the reason to send them there? Make it a social club or a daycare completely and stop frivolously "teaching" teenagers who throw the educational gold into the garbage pile of their minds along with memories playing video games and experiencing the same exact things as millions of other players and maturing little and learning little from it. Teachers would be paid more if education was regarded as the useful tool and pool of skills that it can be. Children wouldn't be bored in class because they wouldn't be in class, a thing as useless to them although they join anyway.

Well it's easier to worry about your own safety than it is to feel sympathy for another person.

That's why this whole issue is framed through gun control rather than about the mental and emotional well-being of those that are being bullied. It just shows they don't really give a fuck but are only worried that those "creepy" guys might show up and shoot them.

It's like they are saying "we know your going through a tough time, but we just don't want you to shoot the place up. You understand, right? We are just worried about us". Yeah try saying that to a kid. That's basically the message they are sending everyone at the national level.
