I'd say there were plenty of other major issue with DC. Feminism sucks but so did the entire handling of DC characters at Warner Bros. The box office returns were dismal and Cavill likely just wants to separate himself from a suffering brand. He's in a good spot to branch out and do other work and why restrict himself to the DC universe that is quite frankly an embarrassment?
