Was hanging out with my best friend last night, who is also my accountant. So we were doing some work (after he had just got home from his full time job). His wife got home shortly after from her job, and he asked her if she could make supper while we were going over stuff. She said "well you could have started it at least" and begrudgingly agreed to.

It was my end of year business stuff we had to go over and it took longer than we thought it would, when we came upstairs from his office, she was pissed. She pointed at the sink and said "you can do the dishes, and there's a load of laundry you can start... This is 2020, it's not my job to cook, clean and do your laundry.

This surprised me. He is a damn hard worker, and helps out with everything. He had just worked for like 12 hours, and he always helps out around the house with cleaning and other domestic stuff, so I didnt understand why she was so angry at him.

Anyways, we were wrapping up some final things and shooting the shit, and she came back into the room. She said she was going to bed, and asked him if he could please shovel the driveway and clean off her car in the morning because it was suppose to snow a lot.

I couldn't help myself.

"This is 2020, it's not his job to be your big strong man, and go out in the cold at 6am to shovel snow and make sure you have a nice warm, clean car to wake up to."

After that I just said see ya later man and left.
