It's sad. You are conditioned to believe that homeless men were just lazy or losers but after hearing the stories and getting to know some I realized that they ended up that way because of bad life circumstances or getting royally fucked up over by society or people they knew, divorce, losing their jobs over bullshit reasons, etc. And there's no safety net for them and once you're homeless you can't just "work" your way out.

The saddest are the veterans who fought for their countries only for them to be shit on and left on the streets in turn.
