I mean, the fetishization of psychiatric disorders should have no place in any respectable institution of higher education. Plus, it only created useless diplomas that created leeches who demand from society to provide to them, while giving absolutely nothing in return -- well, except insanity, that is.

The funny thing is, that sociology and even gender studies could/should be valid fields of study even if they're not particularly profitable, and just one of those more academic types of fields. The problem is that we don't have social "science" as much as we have people with a bias that then set out to to try and give it legitimacy. Once that canon was established as legitimate, they've basically spent the past several decades hushing stuff that didn't fit the agenda, and promoting anything that sounded like it gave legitimacy to the established view. Instead of a study on how and why groups of humans behave the way they do, we get a little bit of that, and then a shit ton of "here's a behavior, let's see how we can smash it to fit my orthodoxy". The alchemists are standing in the way of chemistry.

Someone should look out for all kids in college, it's easy to take the easier courses and skate but what good is that when they get out?

Somehow I think kids that pay for their own schooling are probably not taking these fluff courses though.
