I always found that such a dumb argument by parents and teachers. Your friend got you to do something a little naughty like fire an elastic band in class. The teacher asks why you did it. Your answer ‘my friend told me to’. The teachers response ‘if he told you to jump off a bridge would you do it?’. It’s like ‘duh! no! Because firing an elastic band won’t get me killed...big difference’!

I always find parents who nag their kids to get married and give them grand kids are kinda selfish. It's like they don't care about the costs of raising a child or how well that child is looked after, or whether you find a woman who doesn't turn into a psycho later.

Nope they just want grand children because "Everyone else is having them" or "But babies are so cute"

Or my personal favorite. "A man is not meant to be alone. It's not good for your mental development. You only become a man once you settle down and have kids"

My parents mentioned the getting married thing now and then but lately I noticed they would start to mention it every time I would see them. Last time I had to just tell them straight. I didn't say "I'm MGTOW" or anything, I just said that after having been in relationships I've decided that all I really want is to be alone.

I told my Dad later that I simply get everything I want from women (ie. sex) but with none of the commitment. When I'm told old to just have sex with women like that, who cares? It's not like I'd be getting any sex if I was married. He saw my point.

Most of the unmarried guys I know never get pressure from anyone, including their parents, to get married. 50+ years ago everyone would have constantly criticized and pressured a bachelor...now silence. There are obviously good things about that but I also see some negative. The negative is the world looks down on these men as not being worthy of being in the marriage market to begin with.

Oh yes, i remember getting "hard parented" coz i kept catching my parents on stupidest loophole.

"Look THAT Kid can do something, so you must be able to do it too." or "Look all those kids playing outside, go and play outside like any other kids". "Why can't you solve this problem" "Well nobody were able to solve it" "WHy are you comparing yourself to other kids?". So when it's to shit on me and my ability it's perfectly fine to compare me to other kids. While when i'm on level with other kids but it's somehow unsatisfactory to you, i'm not suppose to be compared to other kids... Fuck you and your double standarts.
