a very similar thing happened to me. Ex-gf broke up because "I wasn't going anywhere" and didn't have a job. She hated my attempts at starting a business and basically considered me to be an unemployed bum.

She left me for my friend who was making 6 figures+ per year.

Said I was pathetic and would never accomplish anything.

Fast forward 3 1/2 years later, Business was massively successful and sold off for a Multi-Million dollar buyout.

She starts messaging me non-stop and still does to this day. Apparently, we were "meant to be".

There is a story on here about a woman who left her bf because he was poor. He was actually extremely wealthy but was simply frugal.

I think I can relate. Although I'm not super wealthy I quietly own 9 houses and get quite a lot of rent from them. I'm dismissed from their sight as I seem to be a bum. I go to the gym in a cheap vest and cheaper shorts.
