What fundamentally confuses me, is how most people aren't inclined to wonder about personal/familial finances in the same way as a professional/large scale market economy ones. Exponential laws are not only at work in companies. Money begets money, power begets power. In corporations, indeed, but we can't forget those who own them. If a company gets bigger, wealthier and more powerful in general, just imagine what that entail for it's custodians.
