I'm going to always love this show until I turn grey, I love Super with all the hate it gets, sure I understand the hate towards the animation for about half the series but the writing? The writing hasn't been all that good since the Namek saga.

Buu saga had even worse writing than Super, but I still love all of it, especially the original Dragonball, that shit is so good.

Edit: Oh and women are for sure invading, all the so called dbz fans came out the woodwork once Super debuted.

For me it was:

One Piece at 7 (original version, not the shit 4kids dub).

One Piece at 12.

Hunter x Hunter at 21.

I'm not trying to start any fights or anything, but in my personal opinion, HxH is Dragonball done right. I've always thought Dragonball was kind of samey, with all the sagas being much too similar to each other: bad guy shows up, everybody trains, everybody tries their best but fails, Goku appears and beats the villain, rinse and repeat all the way up to Super. I know there's more to it than that, but what I'm saying is that Toriyama's writing leaves much to be desired.

Meanwhile, HxH has a great many similar elements to Dragonball, but it explores everything in more detail and is much more careful in how it develops the narrative. Everything has a purpose in HxH, and every character is valuable to the story. Nobody is ever left in the dust while the protagonist soars to new heights of power.

Also, once it gets to the Yorknew arc, HxH gets brutal. I mean, it just doesn't hold back when it comes to butchering people.

Also, the only reason I didn't put down One Punch Man instead of HxH is purely due to the number of episodes it has. One Punch Man is my favorite anime of all time and will forever remain such.
