I think part of it is a need for validation. It's certain she has orbiters and people fawning for her attention, so she's trying to figure why you're not one of them. At that point, it's a challenge. It's to bolster her self-esteem and prove her worth to herself.

I'm in a similar situation right now. A woman at my work (a solid HB7, probably was an 8 a few years ago) was constantly dropping hints, flirting, and just bugging me to the point it was starting to affect my productivity. After weeks of trying to be aloof, distant, straightfoward, and even outright mean, she just wouldn't accept I wanted nothing to do with her.

After wanting to resign in frustration, I decided to try a whole different approach. I started acting needy and beta as fuck around her. Constantly inviting her to get coffee or lunch with me, acting insecure, etc... She cooled off pretty quickly after that. Just to put the final nail in the coffin, I took her out to dinner once after work and intentionally bombed it by giving every BP signal I could think of.

She pretty much leaves me alone now. Best $40 I ever spent on a meal.

Same thing has been happening with a girl at work. She's been working on a project with me lately and is flirting like crazy. Next thing I know my coworker is dropping hints that she's single and looking for a boyfriend. They were working together for all of 20 minutes. I've been inadvertently acting dismissive to her. It comes naturally now that I have no interest in a relationship, which turns them on I think.

When they see that you have no care for them or their validation whatsoever you become a challenge to them. This manifests itself sometimes in them trying to get your attention and validation. It doesn't always mean they want to fuck you but for some of these girls they are so high off their ass that when they run into a guy that isn't kissing their ass like 90% of the world it's like they need you to validate them. However when you keep ignoring them they eventually give up. Too much effort for them.

I've seen similar posts on here about this but have yet to experience it myself. Lifting and growing a beard has certainly gotten me more attention but nothing in the way of an approach or anything like that.

The guys over at TRP talk about how important it is to subtly make her feel like she is beneath you because they know that women are looking for a man who they feel is better than they are.

By acting indifferent to her advances (something she is not used to men doing), you are sending her the signal that she isn't good enough for you, and that drives the hamster in her brain crazy.

Just keep ignoring their advances and sooner or later their ego will kick in and convince them that you're gay or asexual or whatever and they'll move on.

No point degrading yourself by pretending to be a needy beta.
