I've done it a couple of times and oddly enough I did it yesterday (good timing op post)

It really does look and feel great for the reasons mentioned

I hate having to do this and that to look "presentable"

It's easy to cut it yourself, no fuss, it makes you look more masculine and you really do command this silent respect

You are not that hot all the time.

The downside though is that when you sweat, it just comes pouring down your face. Hair collects more sweat, and keeps it out of your eyes, than you realize before you shave.

With that being said, I agree that going shaved, or buzzcut, is great. You save money on shampoo and don't have to worry about your hair getting messed up.

Unfortunately I have a super babyface so shaving my head does not look good. And my head shape is weird as fuck, IMO. I think about it a lot though but, eh.

I did the same thing for the first time a few months ago. I went from long hair to a 2 mm (cm)? I gotta do it again. Feels great and super easy to maintain. Not everyone acts differently around me, but I have noticed more people respect me and acknowledge me.

Some people almost seem afraid of me now or weirded out. Either way, it keeps people from fucking with me most of the time. Plus I got my ears pierced which made it even more hardcore.

I shaved it, using a number 2 guard for the first time last month. I've gotten so much positive feedback. Chicks fucking dig it. Grow a dope beard and put some muscle on, and you're fucking set.

100% as long as you have a decent shaped skull. Been shaving my head for 15 yrs myself thereby saving literally thousands on haircuts. You use less shampoo as well - more savings. You never have to comb or brush the shit and dries almost instantaneously. No fucking loose hair around your house (lived with a woman and this was a problem unbelievably) oh yeah If you get in a fight you dont have any hair to grip as well.

I honestly did it because it was starting to fall out, and every dude that tries to "let it go gracefully" looks like either a bootlick or a pussy. No way was I gonna do that look.

I talked myself into it by telling myself how much less time and money I was gonna spend on grooming.

I was happily surprised to find out I look goddamn good bald. And people treat me with more respect than they did previously.

i like my buzz cut. simple, low maintenance. i don't care about peacocking to attract women so a buzz cut has been my MO for 11 years. actually i still pulled some chicks in that time but nonetheless im sure i dont get much attention for it. honestly i will most likely buzz cut til i die. im not a damn poodle.

Omg I did exactly this last week as well! I was thinking of going to the barber to get a haircut. But then I thought fuck it, bought a trimmer and just shaved my head. FeelsGoodMan.

Now I feel like I emanate an aura/zen of "zero fucks given" and "just do it" attitude in front of people. I at first was worried whether I shaved it well or not, whether my head is balanced or do I still have some leftover at the back. But no every body I met their reactions are really positive some even said I am really skillful and talented lol.

I'm planning to do this for a long time. So, next vacations it is. I've had an amazing experience with my long beard, people actually really pay more attention to you, it's amazing. The shaved head experience sounds similar.

Glad you're enjoying it. Just keep doing it and stay exposed to the sun as much as is reasonable (with a tiny bit of sunscreen) while you're first starting shaving; this will cure the bluish hue and you'll look less like a guy from American History X and more like...well, a guy that shaves his head.

Paired with the right facial hair -- or if you feel you'd best wear none -- a shaved head is a look you can carry into your late 60's (or even further) and age very little.
