Joe Galloway, author of We Were Soldiers (the photographer in the movie) told a story of RICK RESCORLA who also fought at La Drang under Hal Moore.

After Vietnam he worked corporate security for a company who’s base was at the World Trade Center. He warned the company of another possible terrorist attack that could happen (after the 1993 attack), even saying it could be by aircraft the next time. He urged them to move the company out and into a different building, but they didn’t listen.

Moving forward to September 11th 2001, he saw the North Tower burning and he urged all the people in the South Tower (the one he was in - 44th floor) to evacuate DESPITE the announcement urging everyone to stay at their desks. He directed people down the stairwells including over 1,000 employees in WTC 5.

When the second tower hit and the building swayed violently he calmed people down and starting singing “God Bless America” which helped everyone to remain calm and keep the evacuation orderly.

Rescorla called his wife, telling her he loved her and, "Stop crying. I have to get these people out safely. If something should happen to me, I want you to know I've never been happier. You made my life." After successfully evacuating most of Morgan Stanley's 2,687 employees, he went back into the building.

When one of his colleagues told him he too had to evacuate the World Trade Center, Rescorla replied, "As soon as I make sure everyone else is out". He was last seen on the 10th floor, heading upward, shortly before the South Tower collapsed. His remains were never found.

3 years before the attack he was diagnosed with cancer and told he had 6 months to live but he ended up beating cancer! “God had one more thing left for him to do” said Joe Galloway.

This country is 242 years old. I’d love to see where we’d be at if we let women control everything. If all the presidents up to this point were women. All the judges, police officers, firefighters, they were all women. Where would we be at? This country would cease to exist without men. There are women who work in the military however it’s a job men prefer while women usually prefer teaching, nursing, business, etc, men prefer military jobs, science, maths, business, that kind of thing. I don’t believe in any kind of ‘privilege’ the only privilege that could in any way exist is rich privilege, do you think these men would be doing such a job if they were rich? No.
