Edit: some of you guys are missing the point. Honor the soldier, shame the commander. Just about every war is a pointless one that only fills the bank accounts of the fat cats. But it's the soldier that pays the price for a war he never wanted.

These bones more than likely belonged to a kid younger than 25. There's even a high possibility that he was drafted and forced to kill against his will. It's easy for you to say you would do "this and that" as you sit in the comfort of your own home. But would you still say that if enemy tanks were rolling down your street? What would you do if your own countrymen knock on your door and give you the choice of enlistment or prison? This man had his reasons for fighting, but those reasons we will never know, because he's dead. So show some fucking respect.

You can say what you want about these wars being unjustified or a waste of lives over nothing, but to those men out there fighting, it was justified enough. Shit is crazy real, which is why you should not be able to vote for the president unless you're willing and able to fight like these men.

Ok I think i need to explain this picture to some of the people who dont know about WW2. That Weapon is the PPSh-41 submachine gun or "papasha". Six million were made during and after WW2 and they were used by North Korean soldiers in the Korean war and even NVA soldiers in The Vietnam war.

Some were issued to infantry but alot of these were given to Commissars otherwise known as political officers of the communist party. These cocksuckers would literally order conscripts (slaves pressed into service against their will) to storm German lines and if any of the men retreated or even just stopped moving forward these fuckers would machine gun them in the back.

If hes a regular conscript then i feel bad for him. He didn't die as an act of bravery he was just death marched into a German machine gun. Nothing noble about that kind of death and fuck all of the faggots here trying to glorify it.

If hes not a conscript and is instead a commissar than hes a scumbag piece of shit and deserved what he got.

There was nothing honorable about that war. There was no fucking honor or glory....in....that....war....period.

Grandfather fought well in WW2, got to nazi prison camp, escaped, was captured and got to soviet prison camp.

One day he was stunned by explosion during the mission behind the enemy line, while main forces were retreating. Got in a nazi labour prison camp, escaped, was captured. Escaped and was captured second time, was moved to another labour prison camp. Conditions for soviet war prisoners was hellish (Stalin din't want business with red cross, so no help from them).

Got sick, time passed, he lost ability to work and the only excuse from work was death. There was a "medical facility", man goes inside, nobody see him again. Grandfather didn't have much choice, to die from sickness or a bullet. In pain and broken he was on the way to that facility, but was stopped by his buddy. Buddy suggested to hide grandfather in the end of barrack in pile of corpses (winter, so no need to bury them), because why not anyway he had nothing to lose. Grandfather was hidden and sleeping between corpses for days or a week, buddy shared food with him. And one day he got better, returned to work.

War was finished and grandfather was moved from a nazi labour prison camp to .... a soviet labour prison camp. Because of bullshit law, if man survived in a nazi prison camp he was considered to probably be a nazi spy, even the war was over.

Grandfather had skills and will and knew "right people", so he made a way out relatively quickly. He enjoyed life after war, sadly not for long, war and prison labour camps affected his health.

I'm not a feminist, but I am an amateur historian. This could very well have been a woman, too. And the idea of male privilege, when not being applied by the crazy ones, is meant to point that out. You know? That it may very well be a woman and not a dude, and one shouldn't assume that it was a dude.
