I actually disagree, this approach is far too simplistic.

False rape accusations have up to four distinct components, all of which are offences.

Firstly there’s the wasting of police time and resources, that component can be easily dealt with via a massive fine to repay the costs.

Secondly, you’ve got the damaged caused to the victim through the trauma of being falsely accused and questioned.

Thirdly, if the information goes public (which is almost always does) than there’s the damage to the victim’s reputation not to mention a massive increase in the trauma in the above.

Finally, should the false accusers be successful or should her victim even spend a minute under arrest, then she’s guilty of kidnapping and using the state to carry out said crime.

Thus a false accusation that doesn’t get very far probably only merits a year or two in prison, whereas a successful one where the victim gets say a five year sentence should actually see the false accuser jailed for over ten years.

I mean im not against it but a woman probably never going to admit that she lied considering the punishment shes facing. and when there's not enough evidence against the main yet also not enough conclusive evidence against the women she lied neither can be punished yet the man's credibility and reputation is damaged. Unless there's hard evidence its never going to happen even in an ideal world :( It's such a dangerous world we live in where we pretty much have witch hunting like in the old ages except nowadays its the men that are being accused for being a "witch"

I spent some time in the middle east and learnt about how they deal with false accusations, the system they have in place is actually one of the strongest I have seen for for innocent until proven guilty and its actually the witness/victim who is standing trial as they must submit evidence and if found in contempt they would be charged worse than those who committed said crime, so that would be the death penalty straight for a false rape accusation.

That would be a very ideal way to deal with false rape allegations, but that simply won't happen in a gynocentric society. Maybe if a man falsely accused a woman, but a woman would never be treated that way in this system.
