It really does illustrate the difference between men and women. The man in this case is loyal to a fucking fault, I respect that. The woman, she represents potent unalloyed demonic evil. It's not just betrayal, it's betrayal when the man needs you most. And then pouring jars of salt in his wounds, trying to take all of his money which he desperately needs for his own medical care.
