Hi guys, the topic was brought in another thread in the past, and I'd like to share what I observed in Middle East, particularly Western Turkey, Istanbul to be exact. So this will mostly about what I see around me.
Why I stated that is it's really stuck inbetween both West, and the "Orient". I'm 23 years old, I've lived all my life in Turkey except for 1 year, I was in Europe for Erasmus. I traveled many European countries, as well as short visits to neighboring middle eastern countries.
Enough about me, what I want to share with you all is life is really different over here, but not in a way you think. Even though the hallways we are walking are different, they all lead to the same door. The Bitter Truth.
So, here's my list as a young man who thinks he saw a lot.
-Women here, like in the west, are personification of entitlement. They are brought up as "princesses" in their houses by their fathers (there's even a song which says the exact same thing here, weird). They've been provided all their life by males. If their parents somehow are not lunatics, they even have better treatment compared to their male siblings.
Let's expand how gynocentric this supposed majority Islam country is. These will all be my own experiences and general facts about stuff that does/doesn't affect me. Which is also true for a lot of men around my age, and even above.
-You, as a single male, have 5-10% chance to get a nice apartment to rent. All the landlords specifically ask for either married people or women as their tenants. When I started college, it took me months to find a place to live. Right now, im employed, but I live with my parents (not so out of common here by the way), and I can't find a single apartment close to my office, so it takes 4 hours out of my day through commuting.
-Women have a lot of dormitories, we even got kicked out of our own because they made the dorm specifically girls only. That's when I started looking for an aparment, and you already read above. It seems like men don't really seem like they need a roof above their heads huh.
-Women are treated better in every aspect. My friends wanted to be English Teachers, they applied. Guess who got in, and who couldn't. The girls got higher interview points even though their written exams were below average, while my male friend, who got into top 5 percent, couldn't do shit. "Women make better teachers"
-Let's talk about that commuting again. I wake up at 6 AM. Take a bus with 100 people in it, and be in it for 2 hours until I arrive. You know what I see every day? A bus full of tired men. There are maybe 10-15 women in a bus, rest is bluepill men who do nothing but provide for their housewives (being a housewife is the best career in here for a woman, you get to hang out with all your neighbor friends all day, take daily in-city vacations, have breakfast at a mall-restaurant, buy clothes, drive your husband's car... who would turn that down?) Of course, the man comes home to a nagging wife. Nothing new.
-I see people going out of their way to help a woman EVERY TIME. The manginas here are like sand in a desert. SO MANY OF THEM. People pretend to be asleep on a bus so they won't be guilt tripped into leaving their seats for an elderly, but if it's a fake up modified woman who dresses nice, people line up to give their seats. It's like they have unlocked god mode.
-"You're a woman. So here....." Free pass in anything.
-What about dating? Oh. Try to date a princess who already has it all, and expects more. The average guy here has no chance to score anything. You need a car (how are you gonna buy that if you can't even get a job?) you need your own place (nobody rents it to single men). You need to be fit (Did I say it's cheaper for women to sign up to a gym?) You need to be rich. (see the job aspect again.) and the list goes on. Their expectations never end(I don't really care, I'm not interested in dating by the way)
You already know how western feminists act like they are being oppressed, even though they use the women who are actually in deep shit and act like they have the same conditions? That applies here too.
-There's been a great increase in courses about feminism, which, is a waste of time. (I had to take them too when I was in university. You have no idea how disgusting it was to see all the girls nodding to so called oppression while they have iPhones & starbucks cups in their hands.)
So what do men do?
-They keep being manginas. Put the pussy on the highest possible pedestal.
-They keep slaving away so they can please a woman, and get nothing but problems in return.
-They keep being "chivalrous". Typical Nice Guy attitude (expecting something in return)
-They make a business, earn good money, or they work as employees, and leave all that money to their wives. Work-home lifestyle, no hobbies. (unless you are really rich and seriously dont need to work a day, which is, well, impossible for almost everyone)
The generation after 1980s fucked everything up here. Men were the captains of their ship, and women were behind them, supporting every turn of wheel decided by the captain. Now, women give the orders. Both in dating scene, and in marriage.
Even if a man cannot take it anymore because of his pride, he cannot do anything. Women don't care. They'll keep doing this. I see it all around me, in every family (even mine) every friend who has a GF.
I'm sorry it's really disorganized, but I just wanted to share what I had in my head. I probably forgot a lot of stuff, if they come up, I'll add them as edits.
TL;DR: AWALT. Grass is not greener on the other side, it's in drought in both sides though. Just remove the colorizing glasses.

Sorry about this mess of a post. I've been stuck in traffic for 2.5 hrs with bunch of men like me of all ages, and came home really tired after a full day of work.
I should save for a helicopter.

English Literature and Language dept.
That's why.
We had queer lit. Lgbt lit. Feminism lit. Etc under critical analysis course.
It was hell being the minority in a class full of retarded women who think they have it rough and manginas forfeiting their pride or rationality just so they get validation, all unintentionally sadly.

You are welcome, im sorry it is just a childish rant, and on a scale, not really high, it still represents the bigger picture.
Many people think ME it's a bad place to be as a woman. I don't really think so. (Excluding war zones, i really don't think AK-47s or rocket launchers think of gender or age.)

Men maybe hit their wives at home, but nothing changes. The woman already stole years of his life and shortened his lifespan. A man hits when his words have no affect I guess.
I am not supporting domestic violence though.

Don't think a woman would initiate that here. Women hitting men is not so common. In rare occurences, though, they obviously get pussypassed.

TV caters to women, in my opinion. Women are the biggest consumers of media. (Men are busy with other stuff.)
Also, you mean every rape done by men I assume, who cares what happens to little boys or adult men anyway.
I personally prefer being in where i am compared to US though, even though it is so shitty here, US has it's own crazy.
I'd not be able to stay calm around women like that, it's harder to ignore when they yell at your face and accuse you doing stuff you never even think of.

Yeah, if that happens, depending on the person, he may or may not hit his wife. It was common, not so much anymore.
My father hit my mother once, when i was a kid. I still remember. My father regrets doing it (given that he knows i still remember), my mother thinks she deserved worse for acting like that.

Yeah, weak willed men shouldn't resort to physical dominance in a context where thinking and logic applies. If they don't know their strenght over a woman, they will regret it. Same goes both ways, a woman should be aware of the social conditioning and support she gets and the free pass because she is a woman.
There is no denying that sometimes, people need a punch in the face or a slap on the cheek. No matter what they have between their legs.
It's a reality check.

Meh, seeing a non-muslim student in highschool getting bullied till he cried made me really hate people who chant "respect our belief" while not doing it themselves. Not just islam.
After studying a lot of literary work, and reading bunch of fiction, religion is just another work of literature for me, I just cannot tell the difference.

As a non-muslim and a person who is not interested in religions, i dont really know.
What i can tell you though, is that the country is muslim by majority.
Religion affects culture a lot. (Holidays, traditions, mass praying etc.)
Knowing that, if women are so privileged even in the worst regions of the world to be a woman, you can connect the dots.
"Heaven is under the feet of the mothers" i believe it's a saying in Quran. Literally divine beings huh.
Also, mostly, Islam encourages traditional gender roles.
There was a study about saudi women and their views of feminism. They all deny it. They enjoyed being "oppressed". Because it's not what western radical feminists make it up to be. Women are protected, provided by all males in the family, strobg sense of relative and nonrelative community, as well as support through them. (Exceptions may apply, and again, im against human right violations, no matter the gender. I in no way support barbaric old ways)
While men work for them. Don't make up your mind based on oil lords who shit on instagram models' mouths, they are, as you can tell, rare but get all the spotlight.
I am in no position to defend/attack the religion, as i am not a member of it or interested, im just sharing what i see/have seen around me, in a culture which has been affected by Islam for a long time.

I watched the Turkish series Muhteşem Yüzyıl, (Magnificent Century) which is based on the life of Sultan Suleiman. I loved it, the scenes of magnificent buildings and clothing. It is also as blue pill as can be, with males being totally expendable. Female characters, if young and beautiful, usually got off scot-free.
Hurrem, the Sultan's wife, is as beautiful and ruthless as can be. The series is a gorgeous, blue pill feast.

Nope. Reddit is not that popular here.
Also, people who have been using the internet more than a year probably knows the existence of VPNs already.
It doesn't affect people much except older people who use their phone for facebook.
